FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ's)

About the Website

The Website gives you the information about our various diagnostic centres spread across several cities. The information is about the Radiologists, Equipments and Diagnostic Services available at these centres. For any specific information feel free to call at +91-8800188335.

Here you get the information about the various diagnostic modalities and their usage. So while MRI is the gold standard for most of the body imaging, CT Scan is better and cheaper for many body investigations. PET CT is the gold standard for Cancer Staging while Ultrasound takes the cake when it comes to Obstetrical Imaging.

Combination of modalities like CT Scan, Ultrasound and MRI are used for Cancer Diagnosis but the finality can only be achieved by doing FNAC or Biopsy or the lesion.

About Reports Availability

The reports for all the ultrasound examinations are given within 15-20 minutes of the test being completed as the report gets prepared during the study itself. For CT Scan and MRI investigations the number of images procured are running into several hundred and each image has to be studied by the radiologist. Since each of our centre does almost 20-25 CT and MRI studies everyday it normally takes 6-24 hours for the report to be prepared.

For Blood Tests the reports are available after the completion of the test. The tests take different times for completion and therefore the time of report would be different for each test. Some of the reports are to be made by the pathologist after the slides are prepared. For tests like Biopsy, FNAC and Culture Studies the reports are available after 7-15 days and sometimes even months.

Our Doctors

In the early 80's Radiology was confined to X-Ray studies and all the radiologists were good at this modality. In the 80's and 90's many new modalities like Ultrasound, Colour Doppler, CT Scan and MRI came and the field of radiology became very vast. It is not possible for any radiologist to be a master of all these modalities. Some radiologists are experts in obstetrical imaging while others branch out in Body Imaging, GI Studies, Neuro Diagnosis or Oncology.

In Pathology also the field is divided into Biochemistry, Histopathology and Haematology and each of the pathologist is a specialist in one of these fields. Our patient councellers will be ready to help you in identifying the best doctor for each test.
