Tests at Home

Most of the neurological investigations are advised to the patients who are having problems in movement. Hence, taking them to the centre for getting the tests like EEG, NCV, EMG or Sleep Study becomes a tedious task. We offer these tests at the comfort of your home in Gurgaon and Delhi. Our technician calls you and seeks a time convenient ti you between 9 am and 6 pm on all weekdays. The report is generally made available on the same day or maximum the next working day. The quality of testing remains the same as at the centre. However, there may be tests that would need the technician to stay for hours. Cost of these tests would be higher due to the time involved.

NCV Test at Home

The NCV test can be advised by the doctor for lower limbs i.e. legs, upper limbs i.e. hands or for all four limbs depending upon the condition of the patient and requirement of analysis. However, NCV test is nver done for a single hand or leg as there would be no comparision possible between one hand and other. EMG Test at Home

Similar to NCV EMG test can also be done for hand, legs or both hands and legs. It takes more time than the NCV test and requires a skilled technician to conduct the test. Again EMG test cannot be done for a single limb as comparision will not be possible. Cost for EMG Test at Home in Gurgaon/Delhi for 2 limbs is INR 5000 and for all 4 limbs its INR 9500

EEG Test at Home

EEG test is mostly advised for the patients suffering from epilepsy or some sort. EEG test normally takes about 30 mins if the patient cooperates. For EEG test certain preperations as compulsary. Patient needs to shampoo her./his hairs and there should not be any oil in the hair. There is no restriction of fasting on any of the tests including NCV, EEG, EMG or Sleep Study. Cost for Regular EEG Test at Home in Gurgaon/Delhi is INR 3000 in case it is for longer durations then the cost would vary accordingly

Sleep Study Test at Home

The sleep study test or polysomnography test is a long test and needs the technician to stay overnight at the patient's home. The test is mostly conducted to observe the sleep patern of a person as well as for Sleep Apnea which can lead to sudden decrease in oxygen supply. Cost of Sleep Study varies with the reason for which the test is being conducted which basically defines the duration of the test.

Test Preparation

You will be asked to sign a consent form that gives your permission to do the procedure. Read the form carefully and ask questions if something is not clear.

Generally, no fasting or sedation is required prior to the procedure. Normal body temperature must be maintained before and during the procedure, as low body temperature slows nerve conduction. Notify your doctor of all medications (prescribed and over-the-counter) and herbal supplements that you are taking. Also tell your doctor if you have a cardiac defibrillator or pacemaker, as precautions may need to be taken. Stop using lotions or oils on your skin for a few days before your procedure.

The test is normally done by a technician and the reports are analyzed by a neurologist. Most of the diagnostic centres normally do not have the facility of NCV testing because of the unavailability of the Neurologist.
